Features: Similar to MZ-E700 but larger, with shorter battery life and without "Disc Memory" function. Button layout located on backside of the unit. MDLP capable, 64 different possible treble/bass settings (8 treble and 8 bass) that can be stored as two presets, 16 Mbit DRAM gives 40-second anti-shock protection (160-second protection in LP4 mode). Extra battery life was achieved by increasing the rotation speed of the disk by three times, according to Sony's press release.
