Sawada Denki Customer Comments
- I have ordered and received a MZ-R30 from Sawada Denki via
International Postal Money Order. The MZ-R30 arrived exactly 7 days
from the day I sent off the money order. The process was very easy and
completely problem free. The MZ-R30 arrived in perfect working order
with all accessories and manuals. I would not hesitate to order again
from Sawada Denki.

- I received my E50 from Sawada 11 days after sending an
International Postal Money Order by registered mail. The box
containing the E50 was packed in a larger box filled with
newspaper to protect it. After recharging the batteries and
trying out the player, everything seems to be in good working
order. All in all, I'm very satisfied with Sawada's service
and prices. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from them again.

My Sharp MS200 arrived in the US in a little bit less than two weeks. The
package was well protected. I did not really have a chance to work with
it yet since there is a voltage difference in the US. But so far the
machine is in good condition, and I recommend purchasing from
Sawada Denki.

I placed my order on the last day of April and
received the unit six days later! Everything was in perfect condition and
in excellent wrapping. I am most pleased with the service. Initially I
did, however, have reservations because of the warnings of Sawada's lack
of English communication. But they came through and I would recommend
this service to anyone interested in buying a new unit.
Thanks again for your Web page and presentation of Sawada Denki. I hope
there are others that realize its excellence in service.

I mailed my order on a Friday night and got my 'R30 the following
Thursday. No problems. It came with a lithium battery, but no disk.
The only thing that I found annoying was that the unit came with the
earbuds instead of the full headphones.

Just to let people know-
I was a bit hesitant at first, but my friend and I ordered
MDS-200's at the same time, and 13 days later they arrived at my
door. Everything works well, and I am pleasently surprised at the
service of Sawada Denki. Thank you for providing us with this
resource.

I've ordered a MZ-R4st and extra LiIon at Sawada via International
Postal Money Order. On a Wednesday I got a message that the money order
had arrived and that they would ship the item. The next Saturday I got
a message from the local customs that they have received my package and
the Monday I got my package. Everything was there and I even got an
MDW-74c (the ES ones) with it for free 'cause I had to wait for it so
long. (Which wasn't even their fault, it took 2 months for the money
order to get there). Quality service!
I know where I'm buying next time.

I just wanted to thank you for your ordering service. I was very nervous
about sending such a large amount of money overseas but I ordered a
Sharp MD-MS200 recorder and I received it only eight days after I sent
the money order. The outer shipping carton was a little beat up but
there was plenty of bubblewrap around the Sharp's box so there wasn't a
scratch on it. I have already recommended your service to others.

I ordered a MS200 and accessories from Sawada Denki and received it
eight days after I sent off the International Money Order. Shipping
time was only three days from Osaka to Colorado! Everything arrived in
excellent condition.. no funny business, no fuss, and no customs duty to
pay. Perhaps they could e-mail the customer when they recieve the
money order, as I was a somewhat unsure about the destiny of my money
order. But I am very pleased with the service and would not hesitate to
order from Sawada Denki again or recommend them to friends.
-Eric Davidson ([email protected])
- I am extremely impressed with the level of service from Sawada
Denki. On Thursday 23 October I sent Japanaese Yen in cash via EMS
courier to Sawada Denki, to cover my order for an Sony EZ-35 and R-50.
I could not use International Postal Money order since this option is
not available in New Zealand. The package left Japan on Monday 27
October and I received the package on Friday 31 October. I did not
have to pay any customs or other duties. I actually sent an extra 500
Yen since the bank could not exchange the exact amount. Sawada Denki
sent me 2 blank mini discs for this, although I didn't expect to
receive anything. All items were boxed with care. In Summary, I would
have no hesitation at all in recommending Sawada Denki to anyone
looking to purchase a Mini Disc player. Frankly, their service is
amazing.

- Getting a bankdraught in a foreign currency was really simple at my bank
(Australia and New Zealand Bank, ANZ). They printed out a sheet with
information on exchange rates. This listed the prices of the Japanese Yen
they were buying and the price to buy it from the bank. This was 87.29JPY
for 1 AUD(Australian Dollar). I then withdrew the money in AUD from my
Savings account and they printed me up a Bank draught. From memory it was a
Citibank bankdraught with JPY stamped on it. (They had many draughts for
many currencies.) I put Mr. Yasuo Uchida's name on the draught. I
received a receipt from the bank for the transfer of funds and for the
Draught itself. At my bank there was also a $10AUD charge to make up the
draught. The whole thing took about 10 minutes but it would have been quicker if I
had had the cash in hand.

- Dec 97: I had no problems whatsoever. I express mailed my IPMO
and order form for a Sharp MD-MS200. Everything arrived in new
perfect condition nine days later to Ohio. One thing I would
recommend is to order any accessories you feel you may need in the
future because if you decide to order them later, you will incur
additional expenses for a separate IPMO ($3), the express mail there
($15) and the cost of shipping another separate package, which for
small accessories, could amount to more than the savings of purchasing
them from Sawada Denki. Thanks you for setting up this page, it is a
tremendous resource.

I live in Australia, and recently ordered an MZ-R50 from Sawada Denki.
Using an International Money order in US$ from the Post Office, I mailed
it on a Sunday afternoon via Express Post International, and the unit
arrived 9 days later.
A testament to their service is that I sent an order for the Japanese
version of the unit, but the next day I learned that an international
version was available. I faxed them in simple english and got a prompt
reply to say the order was changed. Any extra money was put into 2 blank
discs they sent me. Very efficient!
Thank you greatly for your service to the world. The staff at my local Sony
Shop are quite jealous!
Addenda:
It was an official Australia Post international money order,
you can only get one sort from the Post Office. In Australia, they used to
be done by American Express but now are done by Western Union. You have to
convert the amount to American dollars first, before you get the order.
I wrote 'Mr Yasuo Uchida, Sawada Denki' on it as the "to the order of"
bloke.
The express Post International pre-paid envelope cost me Aus $9.80 (for
anywhere in the world).
For a money order like this it costs Aus $6.00.
There was no need to insure it as it worked like a cheque (only Yasuo
Uchida at Sawada Denki could probably bank it (they can't be cashed)).

I ordered a MZ-E35 from Sawada Denki last Wednesday. I put cash in JPY
in the mail as a registered letter. On Sunday I got confirmation via email
from Yasuo Uchida that my order had arrived. Next Wednesday the
package arrived here in Finland. I paid the taxes and customs and the
player was in my hand. In a week! I had never thought that their
service was this fast. I thought, well two, three weeks is okay, I
don't mind. But this was a big surprise. Next time I really won't buy
anything here in Finland. I just simply and easily order the goods
from Sawada Denki!
-Timo Saastamoinen, Finland
- Jan 98: When I decided to order a Sharp MD-MS701 I used the bank draft
method to avoid any processing delays. Getting the draft is a matter of
minutes at the bank. At Sparbanken the additional charge is 90 SEK though.
I sent the draft along with my order on a Wednesday in a registered
letter. The next Wednesday I got a mail from Mr. Uchida telling me that
the order had been received, processed and shipped. Two days (!!) later
(Friday morning) I was awaken by the delivery man. EMS packages in Sweden
are handled by ASG and delivered to your door, so the Swedish postal
system never gets a chance to mess with your package. :) The package, by
the way, was the most meticulously wrapped package I've ever received.
Also, I did NOT have to pay any taxes or custom fees, the package came
declared as a gift without me asking for it. I can fully recommend Sawada
Denki, their service has been exceptional and second to none!
- Per-Anders Josefsson, Sweden ([email protected])
- Jan 98: I must say I was worried at first - especially when the yen got stronger
just a day or two after I sent out my IPMO - but only nine days later, I
received my Sony MZ-R5ST and a few accessories in perfect working order.
There was not even any customs fees to worry about. Customs stamped the
box in which the system came in, but I guess they didn't take advantage
of the fees they could have made me pay. I must say this whole
experience could not have been better. It exceeded every one of my
expectations.

- Jan 98:
I waited until the 5th of November before I ordered the MD. First I
payed 46400 Yen via Postal Money Transfer to Sawada Denki's Office
Giro Account at a post-office in Denmark. The same day I faxed the
order form and the receipt to Sawada Denki and then I started waiting.
I was very curious because this was the first time that I send such
big amounts to the other side of the world. The 16th of November I
received an E-mail from Eric Woudenberg who asked if I would like to
have the new released International version of Sony MZ-R50
which included a world wide power-adapter that I need in Denmark. I
mailed him back with an answer the 17th of November. A week later on
the 24th of November I received a package from Japan and with very
anxious hands I opened the packed and there it was: My new Sony MZ-R50
minidisc. I am very fond of that I chose Sawada Denki to trade
with. Thank you very much Sawada and Eric.
-Uffe Beck Christensen, Denmark ([email protected])
- Jan 98:
Thank you for setting up the Sawada home page. I just received my new
Sony R50 acouple of days ago. I used the postgiro transfer method and
paid the exact amount in Yen via a Swedish postoffice (charge 85 SEK =
11 USD). The order was then faxed to Sawada. Two weeks later the package
arrived via express mail directly to my house. Everything very well
packed and complete. The international model even included a manual in
Swedish. Not bad! I can certainly recommend others to use this service.

- Dec 97:
Being an 18 year old student I was very hesitant at first as to whether
to send such a large amount of money to Japan, however I wanted the
superior MZ-R50 minidisc recorder and not the UKs MZ-R30 model and
therefore went ahead with the order. I transferred the 48,000JPY by bank
wire transfer into Sawada Denki's Japanese bank account and faxed the
order form to them. This way the money was with them in 48 hours,
arriving in Sawada Denki's bank account on Friday. That day I got
conformation by Email from Mr. Yasuo Uchida that the money had arrived
and that the model would be shipped the same day. Incredibly it arrived
on Tuesday (yes it only took 4 days including the weekend!). I will have
no hesitation in recommending the service to others, especially as I
saved around GBP55 (including what the bank charged me to transfer the
money GBP20) on UK prices and got a far superior model which Sony have
no plans as yet to release in the UK.
Many thanks for your excellent internet page, its an invaluable resource
to anyone who wants the latest minidisc players from Japan at unbeatable
prices.

I ordered a JVC XM-R2 from Sawada Denki using an IPMO on 12/9 and
received the equipment on 12/19. I found Mr. Uchida to be both helpful
and professional - and a great deal cheaper than the other suppliers of
Japanese domestic MD units (more than $200 in the case of the XM-R2!). I
incurred no customs charges. I would highly recommend Sawada Denki to
anyone interested in purchasing MD equipment from Japan.

- Dec 97:
I just got my Sharp MD-MS701 from Sawada Denki about an hour ago (12/16/97),
and it came registered USPS. I had ordered the unit last Monday (12/8/97)
using an IPMO, and was afraid that it got caught up in customs...but I guess
not. There didn't seem to be any import tax, and all I had to do was sign
the EMS slip on the package when it arrived. I was just as trepidatious
before ordering as everyone else, but after dealing with Mr. Uchida and Co.,
I would not think twice about ordering from them again. (Yasuo Uchida even
typed up a little Christmas/holiday card with a short note thanking me for
waiting. I don't even get this kind of service in the US!) I cannot stress
enough how great this service is!
Bull Schanen ([email protected])
- Dec 97: Excellent service from Mr Uchida at Sawada. On December 1
I sent him the correct amount in Japanese Yen. I sent it registered
SwiftAir and recieved a perfect brand new Sony MZ-R50 just 10 days
later. This model is not available in the UK until mid 1998. I would
not hesitate to buy again.

- Dec 97: Thanks for you web page instructions. I had never ordered
overseas and would not have tried without your valuable
instructions. I ordered a Sony MZ-R50 and everything worked out fine.
I received my unit within one week of sending off the International
Postal Money Order (also thanks to Gary Gilliland for his tips for
getting IPMOs at US Post Offices). The MZ-R50 is simply amazing.
I've had it 5 hours and already love it! Thanks again.

- Feb 98:
I really wanted a R50, but it was not availible here in Denmark. So I
ordered it from Sawada Denki. Mr. Yasuo Uchida is a nice person and
was very helpful with my order. I went to the Danish post office the
20 Jan 98 and made the Postal Giro Transfer. Then I sent email to
Mr. Yasuo Uchida with my reference number and the things I would like
for the money I paid. He emailed me back saying that he understood the
order and I did not have to send him a fax. The 30th of January he
sent an email stating that he had sent the package. The package was
already here the February 3! All working and just fine. Great
service!

- Feb 98:
I ordered a Sony MZ-R50 (International Version) from Sawada Denki.
Living in the UK, I couldn't use an International Postal Order as the
Royal Mail doesn't support them. I decided to wire the funds from my
bank to Sawada's bank and the costs were as follows: UK Bank Cost : 13
UKP, Japanese Bank Cost: 7.43 UKP, plus the 2500 Yen you have to pay to
cover commission at the Japanese bank. This made the total price 258
UKP at an exchange rate of 201 Yen to the pound. Mr. Uchida e-mailed
me to confirm receipt of the money and sent the unit on Wednesday
Feburary the 16th, I received the unit on Monday the 23rd! Mr Uchida
had marked it as a gift so there was no duty or tax to pay although
Customs had stamped the box at London Heathrow. The package was
beautifuly wrapped and everything was in perfect working order. He
even included a free blank MD. The MZ-R30 is the unit available in
the UK at a price of between 280 and 300 UKP. So to get an R50 for
under 260 UKP was an execellent deal. I'd recommend Sawada Denki to
anyone.

I received my MZ-R50 nine days after I sent the order form in. I had
no trouble at the post office or with having to pay any duties of any
type (I hope..=) ) I purchased the international model, but have had
no need to use the warranty yet. Everything works great and I am very
pleased with the product, as well as Sawada's speed in sending it. At
first I was very nervous in sending $400 overseas, but if I were to
buy any other pieces of equipment, I would surely go with Sawada
Denki.
Travis Beers, Ohio, USA ([email protected])
- Mar 98:
I wanted to buy both an MZ-R50 and an MZ-E35. I sent Sawada an e-mail
asking how long the delivery would take to England, and his politeness
and efficiency were exemplary. I then sent my payment by bank draft
through the mail, and my players arrived within 14 days, in perfect
condition. I even got an optical cable with my R50, even though I
bought the international model! Sawada Denki has to be the best place
in the world from which to mail order minidisc equipment.
JJ Burns ([email protected])
- Mar 98:
I recently ordered a Sharp 702 from Sawada Denki, along with some
blanks and an optical cable. The package arrived very quickly. I was
astonished at the care taken in the packaging. The art of protecting
merchandise with bubble wrap has reached a new pinnacle with Sawada
Denki. Anyway, the 702 had a problem. It randomly generated ~7600Hz
squeaks while playing and recording. Uchida-san exchanged it for
another and give me a few minidiscs blanks for my trouble. The
replacement is working flawlessly so far. My experience with Sawada
Denki has been positive in the extreme. I highly recommend them.
John Bolhuis ([email protected])
- Mar 98:
I was somewhat apprehensive about sending money through the mail
however I couldn't resist the MZ-R50. I sent an I.P.M.O. via express mail
and recieved confirmation about a week later. Then three days after that I
received a large well wrapped box filled with the minidisc player and
minidiscs that I ordered. I was very satisfied and would recommend ordering
from Sawada Denki to anyone.
Christopher Ueda ([email protected])
- Mar 98:
I recently used Sawada Denki to buy 2 MZR-50 players from Japan. The
service I received was outstanding, with each e-mail being replied to. I
decided to use bank wire, and the goods were despatched as soon as it
entered their account. All arrived perfectly in the UK, with no customs
duties. A brilliant service with NO complaints. RECCOMENDED.
Michael Eccleshall ([email protected])
- Apr 98:
I was hesistant to send so much money overseas on the strength of a
web page, but I sent my IPMO by EMS and so was able to track its
delivery electronically. Nine days after I sent off my envelope to
Osaka, the box from Sawada Denki arrived in my office mail room! Not
only were the Sharp and the other items packed immaculately in
bubblewrap and folded cardboard, but the box contained surprises: the
Sony 10-packs of MDs I ordered each came with free 20-disc cases, and
4 extra 74-min blanks were thrown in, perhaps because the exchange
rate had become slightly more favorable to the dollar. Uchida-san
even wrote a little thank you note to me. This level of courtesy and
care exceeds anything I have experienced elsewhere, and given the
lower prices, the more advanced models, and the fast service I only
wish I could buy ALL my electronics from Sawada Denki! Without
hesitation I would recommend Sawada Denki to everyone (one of my
friends has already followed me and made his order), and I will
happily shop there again.
Joshua ([email protected])
- May 98:
I sent an order on Monday, April 20th 1998 for the following:
Sony MZ-R50 MD recorder (international model),
Sony BC-LIP8 battery charger (international model),
Sony LIP-8 rechargeable battery,
Sony MZ-R50 car mount kit,
Sony POC-15AB optical cable,
and 10-pack mixcolour Sony blank MDs.
I included a bank draft for 76,000JPY to cover the cost of these items,
including the 3,000JPY bank draft charge. The actual cost was over
1,000JPY less than this, but I sent this sum anyway in case of unforeseen
circumstances! I need not have worried.
I sent an email to Mr. Uchida on Monday 27th April, enquiring if my order
had been received. The next day I received a reply from Mr. Uchida
thanking me for my order, and saying that the money had been received and
the order shipped. I was also given the EMS tracking number to follow the
progress of the package, but unfortunately the only page on which I could
look up the number was in Japanese. That was until the package arrived in
Ireland on Thursday 30th April, when through searching our postal system's
website I was able to check that the package had indeed arrived in Dublin.
(For those who may be interested, EMS packages are handled in Ireland by
SDS; website - www.sds.ie). On Friday morning at about 9.30 my package
arrived and was signed for. The package detailed the contents as being a
Sony MZ-R50 minidisc recorder, and was marked as a gift. I had no customs
charges to pay on it.
I do not exaggerate when I say that this package was the most meticulously
wrapped one I have ever seen. Everything I ordered was encased in layers
of bubblewrap, from the MD recorder down to the extra rechargeable battery.
Every item slotted together like a jigsaw puzzle in the box, and extra
cardboard had been added in certain places to ensure there was no movement
of the contents and no chance that anything would hit against anything
else. Upon removing the items from the package, I could see that
everything I ordered was present.
It is now Tuesday, 12th of May, and I have been using everything (save some
of the blank MDs!) with no faults whatsoever. Normally when I buy
electronic goods, something is faulty, but in this case everything was
absolutely perfect. I was not expecting anything for the extra 1,000JPY I
had sent, but Mr. Uchida sent me three blank MDs for this, along with a
card to thank me for waiting. Waiting??? It arrived in Ireland two days
after he received my order!
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the service of Mr. Uchida
to anyone else who may be interested in ordering equipment from him. He
responded promptly to all mail that was sent to him and provided service
the likes of which I have never seen before. It has been a pleasure
dealing with him and I will order from him again.

- May 98:
I ordered two Sharp 701's with all the accessories and 30 discs. Living in
England, I decided on a Bank Draught which cost GBP10. Delivery took 12
days from when I posted the order. Unfortunately, Customs & Excise charged
me GBP78, so if ordering, ask them perhaps to write something other than
"MiniDisc recorder" on the form. Otherwise, both units are working
perfectly and came very well packaged.
David Bentsur
([email protected])
- July 98:
I ordered an MZ-E50, some minidiscs, and some accessories (some for the E50 and
some for a friend's R50). I got a bank draft from my own bank here in England
which cost me about 15 UKP plus the Japanese bank's fee of 3000 JPY - total
cost almost 30 UKP. This fee didn't really bother me but it does make smaller
orders (e.g. some minidiscs or a spare battery) prohibitively expensive.
I emailed Mr Uchida and sent the bank draft and order form by international
recorded delivery. This was a bit of a waste of money as when I phoned the
Post Office's number all they could tell me was the date the letter left the
country - they couldn't tell me if it had been delivered even though it was
supposed to require a signature on delivery.
It took about 6 days for the payment to arrive in Japan and about 3 days for
Sawada Denki to process the order and get it to my door step. The whole thing
was immaculately packaged and, at my request, Mr Uchida had ticked the gift box
so I didn't have to pay any VAT or import duty.
David Franklin ([email protected])
- I ordered the Sharp model MD-722 through Sawada Denki, and was
extremely impressed with their helpful, knowledgeable, and respectful
staff. I sent my order on a Tuesday, and received my order 11 days later
(incl.. weekends). My order was actually shipped the day it arrived at
Sawada Denki. Being a junior in high-school, I was very wary of
sending so much money so far away, but after my experience with Sawada
Denki, I would not hesitate to do it again.

Sep. 1998: I just received a Sharp 722 from Sawada Denki today, and I have to agree
with all the other posts that they are a very reputable firm. I mailed
(USPS Global priority mail, fixed price small envelope $4.95) the USPS
international MO on Aug 26 (Wed) and Sawada received and shipped on Sept 01
(Tuesday). I received the box today Saturday Sept 05 in N. Virginia.
As with the other posts, the box was well packed, and all looks in new
unused condition.
Both the USPS and Japan EMS tracking pages proved worthless, and still show
that the package has not been entered into the system.
The manual is good enough especially if you are familiar with the Sharp 702.

- When I first saw the Sony MZ-R55 I knew I had to have one. I
looked around and found that Sawada Denki had (by far) the best price.
I will say I was nervous about sending money to a foreign country, but
I read what other said and decided to give it a try. On Monday, Sept.
28, I gathered all the information to wire the money to Sawada Denki
bank account. I went to the bank and after a long process (I do not
recommend wiring) they said it was on its way. According to the chart
it should be there in 12-14 hours. So I waited till I received the
confirmation number that it had been sent. I then e-mailed my order.
I received a prompt reply thanking me for my order but they had not
received my money. I was worried because it had been 24 hours since I
wired the money. I resent the account and bank info to Sawada Denki
to be sure. I must admit I was quite impressed with how they handled
the situation. They e-mailed me every night to let me know they were
looking out for the money. Finally on October 1 I received an e-mail
that said they got the money. (Again I stress be careful when you
wire money). They shipped the package on the 1st and gave me the
tracking number which is useless on all tracking pages (the page said
that the package had left Ireland and was on its way to Mexico). I
received it today (Oct 6th) it only took 4 days form Japan to Indiana!
This morning got the box, I dont think I have ever seen a box packed
so well! I opened it and all of my merchandise was in perfect
condition and worked great. I also received a lovely thank you note
and 4 blank disc's "for my trouble". I am greatly impressed with this
service; you certainly dont get it in the states. I would personally
recommend Sawada Denki to anyone, they are truly real and honest. As
for the Sony MZ-R55, it is GREAT! Buy it, you'll like it. Be careful
when wiring but Sawada Denki is trustworthy!

- Oct. 1998: I wrote to them the weekend of 17/18 October saying I was
interested in buying an International R55 and E55. I got a reply the
next day from Mr. Setsuo Ishii saying that they had these in stock,
and they had held them for me! I ordered my bank to send the funds on
the Monday afternoon and faxed the order form, and last Friday got a
message from Mr. Ishii saying they had my money and the goods were on
their way. Yesterday (Mon 26th Oct), the parcel arrived safely on my
desk at work! Extremely well packed, despite being opened & re-sealed
by British Customs. I guess you already knew this Eric, but their
service is marvellous! A week from enquiry to delivery - amazing! I
wrote a short 'thank you' to Mr. Ishii to let them know how impressed
I was with the service. In these days when you hear so many bad
things about suppliers (some horror stories on the MD-L etc..), its
nice to meet a company like Sawada Denki.

- Nov. 1998: I have recently received a Sony MZ-E55 from Sawada Denki.
I transferred the money by urgent bank wire transfer on a Thursday.
(Something not described clearly on the FAQ - you should elect to pay
*all* transfer fees, not just your side of the transaction). The
transfer cost 20 plus an 8 agents fee. I would recommend using
standard transfer, not urgent - from the UK it only takes one additional
day, and saves 8 in transfer costs.
On the same day, I sent email to the shop giving the order, my name and
address - I requested the package be marked 'Gift'.
The following Thursday, I received an email saying my money had arrived,
and my order had been despatched.
On Friday, my order arrived. no duty was owing. 6 working days from the
initial money transfer, 3 working days from the money arriving in Japan.
When I unpacked the package, an extra blank MiniDisc had been thrown in
which I was not expecting. The package was wrapped impeccably - it was a
joy to unwrap.
Unfortunately the spare battery I had ordered was not in the packaging.
I emailed the shop immediately. After double-checking the packaging at
the shops request with no luck (it was only a small battery), the shop
have agreed to send another battery at their expense. It is wonderful to
find a shop that regards its customers as honourable even if they are
half way around the world.
Sawada Denki made making a first international purchase extremely easy
and fast. Speed and quality of service were excellent, and a problem was
politely and quickly dealt with. Top marks.

I read about Sawada Denki on the internet, and all the comments from
other customers on your page, and decided to get a Sony MZ-R55. I went
to the postal office here in Norway, and transferred 46.400 JPY to S.D's
P.G. account on wed. 111198. The same day I faxed the order-form and the
receipt to their faxnr.
After two days I got a confirmation that they had received my fax, and
that they would send my MD as soon as the money had reached their
account. One week later, I had a mail that they had sent the goods ( the
MD + 5 recordable discs ). On monday, the 231198, I went to the postal
office and picked it up.
It was really good pack in, and in full working order. In fact, you
almost have to be a Houdini to open it. Anyway, I have now tried it for
two days, and I'm really pleased both with the player, as well with the
service I experienced.
The package was sent as a gift, so I even got away with not having to
pay the norwegian tax, 23%

This is a great company. Not only did they send me my order, but they
added a few extras, and the whole process took only 6 days. I bought a
Panasonic SJ-MJ70 minidisc player. It is in perfect working condition. I
wanted to get some car accesories for it, but was unable to find any,
even through Panasonic. I told Sawada Denki about the problem, and they
straightened it out with Panasonic of Japan and special ordered them for
me. That is service that is above and beyond expected. I will buying
from them again and recomend them to anyone. Oh, and they have the
lowest prices on the internet!
